SCI, LLC is excited to announce that Morgan Cosentino has been officially sworn in to the NYS Bar Association as of June 28, 2021. Morgan grew up in Upstate New York and attended SUNY at Albany in 2006. During her time at SUNY, Morgan became a single mother to her first child. Despite these challenges, she continued to pursue her education and earned a dual bachelor’s degree in English and Political Science. In 2013, she enrolled in Albany Law School.
“Initially I was looking to begin a career in criminal prosecution. I believe everyone benefits when people are held accountable for their choices. Ultimately, I’ve always wanted to help people.”
Life has a way of changing course and Morgan came to SCI at the end of law school, beginning her time as a legal assistant and learning the ins and outs of employment law. With this newfound path, she has gained invaluable knowledge, and found ways to help businesses ensure their success.
“My favorite parts of this job are my ability to educate our clients so they can make the best choices for their businesses and training our internal workforce regarding sexual harassment and discrimination. These things go to the heart of why I wanted to be an attorney in the first place – to help people.”
The logistics industry is constantly evolving. SCI has been at the forefront of the independent contractor issue for 25 years, and in that time, much has changed. Labor legislation is one of the most contentious areas in the legal landscape. Keeping up with sweeping changes helps our company stay ahead of the curve.
“I am always optimistic. I believe that despite the ever-changing legislation, SCI’s legal group will be able to provide the needed counsel to stay ahead of the developments. There is something to learn every day so focusing on the business gets harder without having professionals, like SCI’s legal group, to help.”
SCI is proud to add another attorney to our team and look forward to offering our clients even more personalized legal services.
